Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Wisconsin-Madison is requesting proposals for a Monitoring System to monitor temperature and when necessary carbon dioxide levels of all refrigerator, freezers, ultra-low freezers, walk-in refrigerators/freezers, incubators, or other laboratory equipment that may be used for storage of reagents and other laboratory materials, or for the testing of biological samples. Additionally liquid nitrogen levels in dewars and gas pressure will need to be monitored. Temperature monitoring is important for maintaining a high standard for reporting results, maintaining quality of laboratory materials, and in many cases for meeting the accrediting requirements for specific departments.
