Specifications include, but are not limited to:Add Stainless Steel Sink in Ambulance Bay: Add a two compartment stainless steel utility sinkin the ambulance bay with a backsplash mounted faucet with spray rinse and associated domesticwater service and drains. A new hose bib is also provided with the additional plumbing. Thisinstallation requires installing a drain pump at the sink to pump drain water overhead from thesink to a point to intersect the existing drain line in the toilet room plumbing wall. The new sinkis located uphill from the existing under slab sewer line high point and most likely proper slopecannot be accommodated with an under slab drain line. The use of the pump also avoids the riskof cutting the slab to intersect the existing drain line only to find the line is to shallow. All newplumbing and electrical work in the ambulance bay will be exposed and at other locations routedabove the suspended ceiling to minimize costsAdd Washer and Dryer: New plumbing for a washer and dryer in the office area is proposed tobe added on the opposite side of the toilet room plumbing wall to take advantage of the existingplumbing in than location. The wall behind the washer location is planned to be furred out toallow installation of a dryer vent line to run above the suspended ceiling overhead to the buildingexterior. The proposed washer and dryer will be a stacked configuration to allow the existingcabinets in the space to be undisturbed.Add FRP Wall Finish in the Ambulance Bay: Although the ambulance bay is not designed as awash bay and does not have the drainage capacity to handle vehicle washing on a regular basis,on occasion the ambulance crew may need to rinse dirt, grim and other road debris from theambulance. This item adds eight foot high fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) panels as a protectivefinish to the walls of the ambulance bay to protect the walls from exposure to moisture fromoverspray during rinsing operation.
