Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Roadway Data Collection System (RDCS) shall be new, and similar to currently advertised productionmodels. The operational design of the proposed equipment shall specifically have at least a year prior assembly,operation, and maintenance experience in the United States. Similar equipment must have been in production forat least 5 years. The supplier will provide a reference list, with complete names, addresses, and telephonenumbers of at least three (3) different active owner/agencies in the United States who purchased directly from themanufacturer and who own and are currently using a similar model of the manufacturer's equipment. The listshall include a relevant contact who can provide data concerning quality assurance, non-prototype integrity ofequipment model, and who can confirm the capacity of the manufacturer to deliver and support the equipmentexactly as specified. The manufacturer of the RDCS shall have a full parts inventory and established servicenetwork, including a well established record of equipment support in the U.S. Additionally, the manufacturer willhave a complete parts list, including current prices, which will be available upon request. Also, the manufacturerwill be able to provide, on request, a 36-month or longer trouble-shooting history for all customers in the UnitedStates listing the customer name and the failure that occurred. The RDCS shall include all standard equipmenttypically included whether or not specifically called for herein, including the component manufacturer's standardwarranty as a minimum. The RDCS shall consist of a vehicle with all the test systems contained on board andshall not exceed 96 inches wide or 120 inches high during data collection activity. The data collection systemsinclude: Vehicle Location & Orientation, Vehicle Orientation Relative to the Pavement, Right-of-Way VideoImages, Pavement Video Image, Pavement Elevation Image, Longitudinal Pavement Profile, and TransversePavement Profile. The complete vehicle should not exceed 25 ft long.
