Specifications include, but are not limited to:Pheasants provided to WDFW under any contract resulting from this RFQ must comply with the following specifications:Pheasants must be from National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) certified flock, or from a flock tested for disease within the past 12 months in accordance with WDFW requirements. The Contractor must provide proof of certification at WDFWs request.All pheasants are fully-grown males of at least 20 weeks of age.Pheasants shall be Chinese ring-neck pheasant varieties, or Chinese ring-neck Mongolian pheasant hybrids only. Other varieties which do not resemble the Chinese ring-neck Mongolian hybrid pheasants in size, color, and behavior will not be accepted.Pheasants shall be strong fliers, fully colored, and fully feathered. Pheasants with abnormal feathers, mutilations or deformities will not be accepted. Birds received in a wet condition will not be accepted.Use of nasal saddles or similar appliances to reduce pecking will be permitted. However, the appliances must be removed prior to delivery and pheasants having severe deformities resulting from use of these appliances will not be accepted. No pecked or debeaked pheasants will be accepted.Pheasants must be fed and watered if retained in shipping boxes more than 36 hours before delivery. Contractor must notify WDFW if this occurs.Pheasants shall not be medicated within thirty (30) days of delivery. Should medical problems arise during this period, the Contractor must confer with WDFW and receive permission to medicate.Pheasants will be delivered in accordance with schedule shown in negotiated work orders. Changes in delivery dates for each area will be provided no later than September 1, of each year or at other times which are mutually agreed to.
