Specifications include, but are not limited to: These specifications describe the requirements to modify and/or replace the chemical treatment system used for microbiological control in the circulating water systems for coal-fired Unit 1 and Unit 2 at the Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA) Grand River Energy Center (GREC), located in Chouteau, Oklahoma. The present system uses a chlorine based treatment system that will be replaced by the new system. The circulating water system of Unit 1 is 3,500,000 gallons with a recirculation rate of 179,000 GPM and the circulating water system of Unit 2 is 4,400,000 gallons with a recirculation rate of 195,000 GPM. There is a possibility that the circulating water system could require reduced system volume and flow rate capacity in the future.
