Specifications include, but are not limited to:Bluetooth Technology Traffic Data Collection Lease1BTWFM sensors must detect and monitor the traveling public on the State highway system using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Technology Traffic Data Collection and a web-based instation, which gives the operator comprehensive views of both the collected traffic data and the status of the detections sites.2Displays must be map-oriented, giving clear visualization of the traffic routes and associated data.3Units must detect the unique Media Access Control (MAC) address of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi devices, such as mobile phones, car hand-free kits, satellite navigation systems and laptops that are in vehicles passing the defined detection zones and use this data to monitor their entry and exit through the zones. This data must consist of at a minimum, travel speeds, travel time, and delay times of vehicles on the roadway. The encrypted MAC address data (fully Data Protection Act Compliant) must be transmitted from the detectors via a live feed cellular network to a central server and its data base. The BTWFM must be able to relay data in real time to the vendor website that can be accessed at any time by ITD.4Travel time must be statistically summarized in five minute time intervals.5Live data must be displayed in graphs showing travel time, travel delay, travel speeds.6Detection units must be fully equipped and self-powered (i.e. Battery, solar, etc.).7Units must be able to detect signals up to one hundred fifty (150) feet.8The units must be able to be mounted to a post or pole. (ITD will be responsible for the post/pole, mounting and deployment).9Weekly reports showing travel time, travel delay, and travel speeds through the individual locations must be avaialbe on the central servers data base.10 Units must be able to send alerts via email and/or text message when travel delay reaches a certain threshold.
