Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1 Capacity and DimensionsThe unit shall have a water tank with capacity of 400 Gallons (U.S.) with the overall dimensionsset according to customers specifications. Empty weight shall be approximately 1,100 pounds.1.2 FrameThe entire unit shall rest on an aluminum square tubular 2 frame that supports tank andplatform. The frame is constructed so that the tank is fully supported with the areas between theinterior frames not exceeding 540 square inches. The frame shall provide mounting flanges totruck bed. Frame shall be manufactured by the contractor.1.3 Water Storage Tank ConstructionThe tank shall be constructed of thick polypropylene sheet stock. This material shall be noncorrosive stress relieved thermo-plastic, natural black in color and U.V. stabilized for maximumprotection. Materials used shall be compatible with fire fighting foams, retardants and wettingagents, and meet FDA requirements for potable water. All joints and seams shall be extrusiondouble welded and tested for maximum strength and integrity. The transverse baffle partitionsshall be manufactured of stock of the same material and extend from the floor of the tank tothe cover to allow for positive welding and maximum integrity. All partitions shall be equippedwith vent and air holes to permit movement of air and water between compartments. Thepartitions shall be designed to provide maximum water flow. All baffle partitions shall interlockwith one another and be welded to each other, as well as to the walls of the tank. Grooves ontank wall to be cut on a computer numerical controlled machine to ensure baffle stability. Tankfill connections shall be backed with flow deflectors to diffuse the stream entering the tank. Theend wall of tank shall have a vertical translucent panel sight gauge.The tank shall have a combination vent and manual fill tower. The fill tower shall be constructedof polypropylene and shall be a minimum dimension of 8 x 8 outer perimeter. The towershall have a thick, removable polypropylene screen and a polypropylene stainless steelhinged cover. A combination vent and overflow pipe inside the fill tower, approximately 1 down from the top, shall be fastened to a combination vent outflow pipe. The vent overflow shallbe a schedule 80 polypropylene pipe.Tank shall have internal sump/baffle system of same material and construction. The sump shallhave a minimum 1 threaded outlet on the bottom for a drain plug. This shall be used as acombination clean out and drain. The internal piping shall be schedule 80 polypropylene pipeand all joints will be connected with G.F. electro fusion. The piping will terminate from thebottom of the sump. The tank shall be equipped with an anti-cavitation device.The tank in its entirety shall be manufactured by the contractor.1.4 Diamond Plate PlatformsThe entire top of the water tank, and pump mounting platform shall be covered with 3/16aluminum diamond plate with broken edges minimum 1, welded and finished. The pumpplatform shall be covered in similar manner, with a minimum 2 broken edge. All componentsshall be mounted on the pump platform except the reel, which will be mounted on the top of thetank. Diamond plate shall be sheared, bent, and welded by the contractor. Diamond Platesurfaces will have powdercoat finish customer to match vehicle color specifications, commercialpaint is not accepted.2.5 PumpThe pump shall be a high pressure centrifugal pump. The pump head shall have 2 NPT intakeand 1.5 NPT discharge. The volute and the body shall be high strength aluminum alloy, hardcoat anodized for corrosion resistance. The impeller shall be of bronze construction. The pumpshall be rated at a minimum 120 GPM at 150 PSI and 25 GPM at 375 PSI, when powered by aKubota D902 Diesel: 24 HP, liquid cooled, 12 volt starter, 40 amp. alternator, fuel and oil pumpfilters.. Pump to be fitted with automatic shut-off system, actuated by pressure sensing switchand designed to shut down engine upon loss of water supply, reducing possible pump sealdamage. System shall have provision for manual override.
