Specifications include, but are not limited to:. The City of Fountain Valley is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced contractors to provide Traffic Signal Maintenance Services. This request for proposal (RFP) is intended for contractors who have qualifications and IMSA certifications for traffic signals and appurtenances, fiber optic and twisted pair interconnect, flashing beacons, illuminated street name signs, safety lights, and CCTV/video detection cameras. The required services include routine preventive maintenance, extraordinary maintenance, and services to the City maintained traffic signal systems. The contractors must have a minimum of five (5) years in business performing Traffic Signal Maintenance Services similar to the scope of work required. The selected contractor will be required to maintain the Citys Traffic Signals in accordance with the terms of the Contract and the General and Special Provisions. The Contract term will be two (2) years, with the option for two (2) two (2)-year possible extensions. Proposals, prepared according to the following detailed instructions, must be received via PlanetBids no later than 4:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, Tuesday, November 9, 2021.
