Specifications include, but are not limited to: Anne Arundel County Public Schools is committed to the development of a Curriculum that preparesour students to be College and Career Ready global graduates in the 21stCentury. The purpose ofthe Curriculum is to ensure the alignment between local, state, and national standards toassessments and instructional practices. To ensure all students access to standards-basedcurriculum, it is essential that we embed the elements of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) andDifferentiated Instruction (DI) in the instructional design and delivery of the curriculum. UDL and DIprinciples and strategies will allow all students to have an equitable opportunity to perform at therequired levels established by the standards. Additionally, the curriculum documents will help alleducators to consistently and intentionally, deliver, monitor, assess, and evaluate teaching andlearning in all classrooms.The AACPS is requesting submissions from established publishers to provide AACPS with evidencebased, researched, and reviewed instructional materials for evaluation for the Single TextbookAdoption Program (Program) in accordance with the instructions, terms, and specificationscontained herein.In the event a single product does not address standards, AACPS reserves the right to award toseveral vendors for a specific course. This may include specialized products which, on their own donot meet all standards but would enhance the selection of course objectives. The final award couldinclude the selection of products or materials from several vendors whose products, when packagedtogether, meet standards.2.0 PUBLISHER'S RESPONSIBILITY2.1 Proposal ProcessThe review process shall include primary and supplemental instructional materials including allcorresponding ancillary materials. Examples of ancillaries might include, but are not limited to,digital resources, digital platforms, e-text, companion websites, teacher resources, workbooks,assessments, study guide, solutions manual, lab manuals, and manipulatives. If online resourcesare included with the text, only a complete online access will be accepted, samples are notacceptable. If there are multiple formats of any technology components (e.g. network, stand-alone,etc.), include all versions with your proposal for evaluation. All materials to be evaluated shall belisted on the Vendor Material Information Spreadsheet.If texts, or updated editions are in the process of being developed, vendor must describe thepending materials and anticipated due date on the Vendor Materials Information Spreadsheet.AACPS may review such materials, at its discretion and upon determination that it is in the bestinterest of the District.
