Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The proposer agrees to provide up to 7,000 total hours each year of speech and language therapy and related services tostudents, ages 3-21, and to the Fairfield School District for the number of hours, days or portions thereof as the Districtmay need during the school year and during the extended school year programming. All hours billed must be for workperformed during school hours on days the school is in session with the exception of homebound services.2. Therapy and related services must be provided by CT licensed, certified and qualified speech and language pathologistswithout delay to fill the immediate and changing needs of the District both in school and in home settings. The District hasthe right to interview each pathologist proposed and to determine if the person is appropriate to work with District students.The proposer will insure that all pathologists working in the District have had satisfactory criminal background checks,drugs tests and Department of Children and Families (DCF) registry checks as required under law and will provide theDistrict proof upon request.3. The speech and language pathologists will work under the guidance or direction of the Executive Director of SpecialEducation and Special Programs or his/her designee and will comply with all District requests. They will be assignedstudent caseloads and other related responsibilities. They shall participate in planning and placement team meetings forindividual students and provide other services at the District's request.4. The speech and language pathologists provided by the proposer will collaborate, train, assist, co-teach, provideprofessional development, and consult with Fairfield staff when requested by the District.5. The proposer will provide highly qualified pathologists who utilize best practices and research-based interventions withinthe standards of the profession or as set forth by the District.6. The proposer will supervise its pathologists and monitor services provided and time billed by each and insure adherence tothe terms of the contract. The proposer's pathologists will provide services and maintain specific records as required by theDistrict and in compliance with all relevant federal, state, local and district laws, policies, procedures, regulations andethical standards. The proposer shall provide reports to District administrative staff prior to public review.7. Each speech and language pathologist shall provide timely and complete reports as requested by Fairfield staff and provideto the District Medicaid documentation in a form and manner acceptable to the District and which is in compliancewith the State of Connecticut Department of Social Services regulations and other relevant law.
