Specifications
Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The work contemplated by the Contract Documents includes the Work of all tradesrequired and all labor, equipment, materials and supervision necessary andincidental to the Work indicated. The project scope consists of interior renovationsto a portion of a former restaurant space on the first floor of the South HarborGarage, located at 245 Derby Street. The renovations will create 4 unisex publictoilet rooms, 2 of which are handicap accessible, as well as a public waiting areaand interior vestibule entrance. The work shall include all demolition, interiorconstruction and finishes, mechanical, electrical and plumbing work necessary tocomplete the work. Also included is the installation of security cameras throughoutthe garage. General Bidders are to be DCAMM certified in General Construction.For additional and more complete information refer to the Project Manual andDrawings. The Drawings indicate and show limits of construction for this Project.The Drawings and Project Manual are complementary to each other and both shallbe followed to complete the Work. ;B. The General Contractor shall provide and maintain proper supervision of the laborforce for project duration. The General Contractor shall provide, for projectduration, a competent full-time, Project Superintendent who shall remain onsite, full-time every workday. The Project Superintendent shall be responsiblefor providing full-time supervision of the labor force, including but not limited to hisemployees, his subcontractors, his material suppliers, and his equipmentsuppliers. His responsibilities shall also include general coordination andmanagement of the job and his attendance is required at all project meetings. Heshall not work as a foreman, mechanic, laborer, or tradesman, except with thewritten permission of the Engineer.
