Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, transportation, and other components necessary to providethe services under this Request for Proposal. All containers and contents will be transported to the county-owned andoperated sanitary landfill located at 415 Meadowview Road, Jacksonville, North Carolina. All hauls must becompleted within normal business hours of the Landfill which are Monday through Saturday from 6:30am 5:00pm.The Contractor must include tires mounted on rims at no charge.The Contractor recognizes that the County has no control over the scrap tire waste stream and cannot guarantee a setvolume that will be received during the term of this contract.The County will pay compensation as agreed upon per ton of tire removed, this includes all costs associated with theprocessing and transportation of said tires excluding the fuel surcharge described below. The Contractor shall invoicethe County monthly for scrap tires collected and transported since the previous invoice. Each invoice shall beaccording to the fees as agreed upon and the applicable weigh tickets. Each invoice shall include a dated listing of theloads collected and transported, indicating the weight per load and the load origin. Invoices must include shippingcost per haul.The average price is verified weekly from the U.S. Energy Information Administration and can be access by internetat http://www.eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/ or by phone at 202-586-6966. The price adjustments per mile are listedbelow. Such reconciliation shall be reflected onthe next invoice from Contractor
