Specifications include, but are not limited to: The White County Board of Commissioners is requesting bids from qualified contractors tocomplete 7.28 miles of setting base and asphalt paving on nine county roads. The Contractor shallprovide all materials and services necessary in the performance of this contract.a. It will be the Contractors responsibility to prepare the base in accordance withSection 317 Reconstructed Base Course as written in the GDOT StandardSpecifications. Base will be set by the Contractor. Any additional base that might beneeded to ensure that 6 of base is present will be paid for and hauled by WhiteCounty.b. Material Certifications and Job Mix Formulas will be presented to the White CountyProject Manager prior to beginning work.c. Compacted base will be primed using RC70 or MC70 at a rate of .25 gallons persquare yard in accordance with Section 412 in the GDOT Standards. Primed andsanded surface will be closed to traffic for not less than 4 hours as needed for primeto cure sufficiently. Any additional compaction of the base after prime and sandingshall be included in the unit price for the preparation of the base. Sanding afterprime will be in an amount sufficient to protect the primed surface from daily trafficfor a period of not less than one week and this work shall not be paid for separatelybut shall be included in the price for bituminous prime 412.1000.d. The Contractor shall be responsible for traffic control. This work will not be paid forseparately.e. Asphalt paving will comply with Section 402 in the GDOT Standards at a rate of220lbs per square yard in one lift using recycled asphaltic concrete 9.5 mmsuperpave, type 1, blend 1, including bituminous materials plus h-lime.
