Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Seminole County Media Management & Monitoring Services Seminole County Community Relations monitors the media for stories about Seminole County and then downloads the content. Community Relations uses two software products---one to monitor blogs and social media, archive the content, assist with the media contact management, and generate relevant analytics(i.e., Cision); the other distributes press releases (i.e., SendBlaster, a Seminole County proprietary email tool). Community Relations will start to monitor and archive mentions of Seminole County in media broadcasts as well. The two options to achieve this goal are to 1). continue with the current two software products and add a third product or 2). move to a single platform that provides all necessary functionalities. Community Information, SCFD Public Outreach, and Tourism need an enterprise account with a platform that has functionality for: --Media Management (distribution list automation and contact management, press release, and media advisory sending and archiving) --Media Monitoring (clipping service for all broadcast, print, online news, radio, blog, etc. with the capability to download video clips and ability to see full stories, even if an article has a paywall. --Social media monitoring (gauges sentiment of posts/blogs) --Provides retroactive and current analytics on these functions The Meltwater Group from Atlanta, Georgia provides functions in a single, streamlined program and is less expensive that purchasing multiple software products. The consolidation of these functions in one platform will improve the uniformity of data; produce more reliable analytics; and reduce resource work time for tasks that can be automated or performed more quickly. Meltwater is used by Hillsborough, Manatee, Pinellas, and Bay Counties, City of Palm Bay, Florida Chamber of Commerce, the Florida Department of Agriculture, and 26,000 other clients. Meltwater offers services for a flat-fee with no variable costs involved; Meltwater is able to scan behind paywalls and deliver premium content to all clients without risk of copyright infringement; Meltwater allows for retroactive searching of all content generated and clients need not worry about losing data by changing keywords or initiating new searches. Clients can access content back to 2008; Meltwater offers a fully consultative service, has an unlimited archiving facility; Meltwater monitors press in 150 countries, offers instant translation of news, and is available in 18 languages.
