Aurora Public Schools (APS) is currently seeking vendors to partner with K-8 schools to rethink the design of their school schedule and resources to increase intensive time and frequency during the school day to service students identified as Tier II and Tier III whose education was significantly interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Beginning September 2021, APS seeks vendor(s) to work directly with a pilot group of K-8 grade schools (approximately 10-15 pilot schools) to create scheduling structures that allow for equitable student access to accelerated learning opportunities while expeditiously closing equity gaps. APS seeks vendor(s) who will work directly with schools to launch out-of-the-box thinking to examine, analyze, and retool scheduling structures and resources to increase the instructional time during the school day to service our most highly impacted students, Tier II and Tier III. Additionally, the vendor will be required, for each school, to conduct a needs assessment, submit a professional learning plan, provide monthly monitoring reports, and show a proven record of serving students from low-income and disadvantaged households.
