Specifications include, but are not limited to: Option A:Forty foot high litter fence, replacing six (6) 2/50 CCA treated Wood Poles, 350 feet of G295T netting by Christen Net Works and all hardware with the following specifications: 1.All cable(s) are to be galvanized 9/16 inch or 3/8-inch 1x7 EHS steel cable or 7x19 Galvanized aircraft cable with a minimum breaking strength of 11,000 lbs.2.All eyebolts and pole hardware are minimum 5/8-inch hot dipped galvanized steel.3.Snap links are 5/16-inches and electro galvanized. Wire rope clips may be malleable and zinc plated or hot dipped galvanized,4.Ground anchors for pole guying should be 10-inch helical anchors, set a minimum of 5 ft deep with a minimum holding capacity of 12,000 lbs. 5.Riblines in netting is 5/16 or 3/8 uv stabilized poly rope fastened to the netting with twine and or hog rings. Rope ends must be thimble and attached to cable or anchor at terminations. Rope must exceed a breaking strength of 3000 lbs.6.Netting must be High Density Polyester HDPE mono filament netting.i.Netting must be designed to withstand 105 mph winds with 50% loading.7.Poles are wood Southern Yellow Pine and Douglas Fir.i.Poles are Class 1 with aminimum circumference of 45 inches six feet from the bottom of the bottom of the pole. ii.Poles are 50 feet long.8.Poles are placed in bored holes and packed with loose fill.Option B: Forty foot highLitter Fence, replacing six (6) wooden poles and extending the litter fence an additional 600 feet. 1.All cable(s) are to be galvanized 9/16 inch or 3/8-inch 1x7 EHS steel cable or 7x19 Galvanized aircraft cable with a minimum breaking strength of 11,000 lbs.2.All eyebolts and pole hardware are minimum 5/8-inch hot dipped galvanized steel.3.Snap links are 5/16-inches and electro galvanized. Wire rope clips may be malleable and zinc plated or hot dipped galvanized,4.Ground anchors for pole guying should be 10-inch helical anchors, set a minimum of 5 ft deep with a minimum holding capacity of 12,000 lbs. a.Guy Wires attached to ground anchors must be adjustable and tightened from the ground level.b.Guy Wires will be on both the front and back of each pole installed.5.Riblines in netting is 5/16 or 3/8 uv stabilized poly rope fastened to the netting with twine and or hog rings. Rope ends must be thimble and attached to cable or anchor at terminations. Rope must exceed a breaking strength of 3000 lbs.a.Each section of netting between poles: Riblines will be placed horizontally every ten feet, starting at ten feet, to the total height of the netting. Riblines will be attached to hardware, mounted on the poles. b.Two Riblines will be placed horizontally from each end of thenet and attached to the poles, making an X pattern. 6.Top 30 feet of netting must be High Density Polyester HDPE mono filament netting. The bottom 10 feet of fence must be chain link fence, with metal poles spaced at a minimum of ten feet. a.Netting is to be attached to the chain link fence in a manner that does not damage any netting.7.Poles should be Southern Yellow Pine or Douglas Fir, Class H1 with a minimum circumference at 6 feet from butt of 49.5 inches and a length no shorter than 55 feet.a.Pole borings will be filled with pea gravel, to help stabilize the poles.8.The most important aspect of this fence repair and expansion is that the fence, netting, and hardware must be able to withstand a full trash load at wind speeds up to 90 miles per hour. The Contractor is encouraged to make suggestions at the pre-bid meeting that would help fortify the net from future damage, rendering it ineffective.
