Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Field VerificationField verify the existing site conditions and utilities prior to commencing work andreport discrepancies to the Citys Project Manager. Contractor shall perform thefollowing tasks prior to starting the field work: Revise a construction phasing plan and schedule for the Citys approval. Theproject schedule will show, at a minimum, a baseline execution timeline withmilestone (top level) activities in a critical path method. Prepare a project site cleaning and waste disposal plan which will address thesafe disposal of construction waste and site debris. Also the Contractor shallprovide a dust and fume control plan a part of the project phasing plan. Conduct existing conditions survey to ensure the accuracy of all providesquare footage, access points to the Work Zone, locations for the dumpster,material storage and logistics. Contractor shall prepare a Site Utilization Plan to demarcate the proposedlaydown/breakdown areas, construction area, portable hygiene facility, firstaid toolkit, temporary storage of tools and goods, construction vehicleparking, and features depicting OSHA standard compliance. The SiteUtilization Plan shall be submitted to the City appointed Project Manager as asubmittal for review and approval. No work shall commence prior toapproval.A. Lead Paint and Hazardous Materials AbatementContractor shall comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations pertainingto work practices while removing lead paint or hazardous materials identified in workareas. Please refer to Lead Paint report for identified locations included in Attachment Ehereto.B. Selective DemolitionSelective demolition includes removal and disposal of all existing fixtures, all tile from thewalls and floors, all drywall and all bulkheads in the area of work identified in the FloorPlan attached hereto as Attachment B and any material required for the properinstallation of new drywall and tile flooring. Contractor to provide dust control materialsto contain construction dust to Work Zone only.C. PlumbingPlumbing includes removal of all existing plumbing lines in bathrooms. Contractor shallpermanently cap off all plumbing lines supplying the showers and tubs. Replace all hotand cold water supply lines exposed after wall demolition to sink and toilet as perapplicable code requirements.
