Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1 The purpose of this proposal is to provide Equity & Inclusion Training and InterruptingBias Coaching Training during our Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Training Series,which will occur virtually each month between October 2020 and May 2021. Weexpect at least 200 participants per training. Each virtual training session be no longerthan two hours each session.3.2 Applicants need to demonstrate the successful implementation of equity training andcoaching in large urban public-school districts.3.3 The Racial Equity Workshop should be designed to introduce key concepts andpractices to move individuals, schools, and school systems towards being moreeffective in working with populations of color. This workshop supports leaders andpractitioners to deepen their understanding of how race and culture influence humanbehaviors and interactions. The workshop also provides participants interactiveopportunities to reflect on their own role in perpetuating institutional oppression.Participants explore power dynamics within their educational context and how everyindividual can work for systemic change.3.4 The content and structure of the Racial Equity Coaching workshop should be designedto support school professionals to: Develop skills for leading and coaching change in challenging contexts,including social-emotional intelligence and building trust and relationships; Practice effective individual and group coaching and facilitation or otherwise 6 | P a g edifficult discussions about inequity; Cultivate and lead equity-centered professional learning communitiesfocused on the improvement of teaching and learning and student needs; Develop, refine, and sustain structures, routines, and roles for adult learning.These structures will allow for deeper discussion of the ways race, class, andculture impact academic and educational outcomes throughout districts,schools, organizations, and communities
