Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The work to be performed consists of furnishing and delivering of Crack &Joint Sealant in solid block to INDOT district locations in Indiana. yes no2. The Products furnished shall meet the requirements of Section of 906.02 (a)2 ofthe most current INDOT Standard Specifications located at:https://www.in.gov/dot/div/contracts/standards/book/index.html and anyapplicable most current recurring special provisions which are located at:https://www.in.gov/dot/div/contracts/standards/rsp/index.htmlyes no3. Sealant shall be supplied in solid block form which is easily melted. Whenproperly applied it will form a long lasting resilient seal which is flexible andextendable at sub-zero (F) temperatures and which resists tracking during hotsummer temperatures.yes no4. The sealant shall have a high viscosity for improved application and handlingcharacteristics when sealing cracks in asphalt concrete. The sealant should bedesigned to be applied using pressure type feed melter applicator units in bothAsphalt and Portland cement concrete applications.yes no5. Blocks shall be approximately thirty (30) lbs. with some manufacturingtolerance allowable. The maximum weight should not exceed forty (40) lbs.per block. Blocks shall be delivered palletized and shrink-wrapped. Atminimum, cartons shall be labeled with the product name, manufacturer, partnumber and lot number, the pouring temperature, and the safe heatingtemperature.yes no6. Boxed blocks shall be individually packaged in industry standardcartons/containers. A non-adherent film, sheet or other measure shall allow foreasy removal from cardboard cartons.yes no7. Boxless blocks shall be individually wrapped with a consumable packaging forhot-applied pavement crack and joint sealants. Packaging shall be strong,durable, and quick melting.
