Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.2.1Contractor shall replace the Deglas High Impact 16mm Acrylic Panels and Glass Panes at the Noelridge Greenhouse due to hail damage.4.2.2Of the acrylic panels on houses 3, 4, and 5, allof the main roof panels were damaged in a hail storm in April of 2020 (approximately 156 panels). The roof vents also had all panels damaged (approximately 156 panels). On houses 1 and 2 which are still glass there are 20 panes that are 24 x 24-26 glass and 75 panes that are 24 x 30glass that are damaged and in need of replacement.4.2.3The acrylic panels are 16mm clear impact modified/double skinned panels. Specifically, these are Deglas Impact SDP 16 No Drip Double Skinned Acrylic Sheetspreferred.Contractor shall submit alternate for approval before the questions deadline. City will determine if alternate is accepted or not.The panels come standard at 47-1/4 wide. The panels to be replaced adjacent to the main building will need to be cut down from a full sheet. See attached plans (Attachment E) for the original installation specifications for the Acrylic panels.As shown on the plans, the acrylic panels are held in place with techlite bar caps with EPDM gaskets. Remove hex screw andbars etc. to remove existing panels. Reinstall with new panels in place. If hexlite bars or screws are damaged by Contractor during removal it is the responsibility of the Contractor to obtain more at no additional cost to the City.4.2.4Glass panes shall match existing panes that are damaged in thickness and type of glass. Remove existing caps and caulking around damaged panes. Clean existing old caulk from area to install new glass panes. Install new caulk rope to match existing glass panel installation and reinstall caps. Damage to caps and screws caused by Contractor during demolition are the responsibility of the Contractor to replace at no cost to the City. Additional glass panes damaged during removal are the Contractors responsibility to replace at no cost to the City.4.2.5Any additional items necessary to complete the above work shall be included in the bid price for the project.
