Specifications include, but are not limited to: METAL DOORSDescription: Full finish 1-3/4" door formed of 18 gauge hot dipped galvanized steel. Visible seams permitted at dooredges. 16 gauge steel channels forming the top and bottom end closures, the face panels are securely projection weldedaround entire perimeters. Welding is approximately every two inches on center. Panels are securely bonded by athermosetting adhesive to a 1 pound nominal density, odorless, honey comb construction that is resistant to fungus,bacteria, moisture, mildew and rot. Hand of door to be determined by owner.Materials: Door panels and end closures are manufactured of hot dip galvanized materials in the 0.6 coating class (A60)conforming to ASTM designation A525 and A526 and Federal Spec. QQ-S-775E, Type 1, Class E.Finish: Prime paint on doors shall comply with ANSI Standard A224.1-1980, "Test procedure and acceptance criteria forprime painted steel surfaces for steel doors and frames and meets the acceptance criteria outlined in document (120 saltspray hours, 240 humidity hours, etc.)Hardware Preparations: All doors are prepared for locksets in accordance with Federal Spec. FF-H-106A. Hardwarepreparations are prepared according to hardware manufacturers templates. Typical hardware preparations include: Panicdevice - touch bar, reversible - rim type, with rim cylinder; Cylinder lock 2-3/4 B.S., deadbolt prep 2-3/4 B.S., 2-1/8bore, height location to be 50 from bottom of door unless otherwise requested. Door closure reinforcement; Lite kit sizes:12" x 12", 6" x 27", 24" x 30". Lite kits to be prepped 8 from top of door and centered unless otherwise requested. Allhardware templates and other specifications will be supplied by Mobile County School System. Hardware and installationhardware shall be completed by Mobile County School System.Mull Description: Removable mull and kit to be 2 x 2, 811 PC or approved equal.DRYWALL & FLUSH FRAMEDescription: Drywall frames to have a 2" face and constructed of 16 gauge cold rolled steel with knocked downinterlocked corners. Two adjustable anchors are welded to the rabbets in each frame and are screw-adjusted to plumb theframe and maintain position in wall opening. T wo sill anchors on each jamb secure the frame to the base of the drywall.Flush frames are welded at all joints and ground smooth. All other specifications for flush frames shall meet the drywallframe specifications. EMA anchor prep requires four (4) each per jamb leg.Finish: Frames are cleaned, bonderized and given shop coat of gray synthetic primer. Finish will withstand a 200 hoursalt spray and humidity test as certified by an independent testing laboratory.Hardware Prepa rations: Strike jambs are prepared for strike plates conforming to ANSI A115.3 with a 16 gaugereinforcement. 1-3/4 16 gauge hinge jambs are provided with three welded-in 10 gauge reinforcements prepared for 4-1/2x 4-1/2 template hinges.
