LABORATORY ANAYLSIS OF WATER AND SOIL, TERM CONTRACT

Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Sample Collection BottlesThe successful quoter shall supply clean, uncontaminated ice chests and sample collection bottles. Labels shall describethe type of analyses conducted and shall be affixed to each sample bottle. Only waterproof labels and markers shall beused. The County may request specific bottle sizes and special containers based upon the analyses or special samplingneeds. Packing slips shall be provided with all bottle kits, project specific and individual alike.The successful quoter shall also provide bottles for blank samples. Field, Trip and Equipment Blanks shall be analyzedper DEP, NELAC and EPA guidelines.The successful quoter shall be responsible for all costs associated with shipping/delivery (including rush orders) of samplebottles from/to the County. 2. PackingCollection samples shall be transported in ice chests and packed with a sufficient amount of ice to maintain refrigerationduring transit to the successful quoter and sufficient inert packing material to avoid breakage and sample contaminationfrom leakage. Travel blanks shall accompany all shipments and be analyzed at successful quoters expense ifcontamination is suspected.3. Pickup RequirementsThe successful quoter shall be responsible for scheduled daily pickup of sample collections shipments. Pickup shall beperformed by the successful quoter on the same working day no later than 5:00 p.m. at the following location or otherlocation as designated by:Palm Beach County Department of Environmental Resources Management (ERM)2300 Jog Road, 4th Floor, ERM LobbyWest Palm Beach, FL 33411-2743The County reserves the right to call the successful quoter at any time during the contract period to request samplecollection pickup. Request for pickup of samples placed before 12:00 p.m. shall constitute sufficient notice for successfulquoter to execute same day pickup.If successful quoter is unable to make sample collection pickup, the pickup shall be made by a courier service designatedby the successful quoter at no additional cost to the County.After the contract has been awarded, the County shall provide the successful quoter with a projected pickup schedule.The successful quoter shall be responsible for coordinating daily pickups, if necessary with their staff/courier service
