Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.1 Commissary Services Requirementsa. Vendor shall maintain on its own premises, off-site from the MCDF, a large selection ofitems to be made available through the commissary program. Purchase and payment forinventory and stock shall be the sole responsibility of the Vendor. The County shallapprove all items to be made available. The MCDF requires a color photo catalog of allitems sold on commissary from the approved menu.b. Inmates will be able to purchase goods from the commissary minimum twice weekly;sales may be a combination of commissary and snack packs. All sales will be made viaan automated order user interface provided by the vendor. The automated orderinterface shall show items available and their current prices. Vendor will package andseal orders and deliver fulfilled orders within two (2) business days after the order istransmitted.c. Commissary service shall start within sixty (60) days of execution of the contract. Thecontract term shall be for a two (2) year period effective upon contract award, with anoption to extend the contract term for an additional one (1) year.d. Vendor shall assume full responsibility for the actions of its personnel who may bepresent at the Facility. All Vendor employees accessing the Sheriffs facilities will beapproved by the County.e. The Vendor will be responsible for wiring and supplying power, consistent with theFacilitys existing and future infrastructure, into each of the forty-none (49) dorm kiosks.4.2 Inmate Accounts System Requirementsa. The Vendor will accept and maintain deposits into inmate trust accounts via web, lobbykiosk, or any other type of deposit service. Vendor will open, manage, and reconcile alocal bank account for inmate trust accounts. Vendor shall be responsible foraccounting of inmate funds on hand at all times. On request, Vendor shall makeavailable financial reports to the Sheriff or his designee.
