Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) On-Call Services Residential/Light Commercial Group 1

Specifications include, but are not limited to: These specifications cover and include, but are not limited to, the furnishing of all labor, equipment, parts, certificate of insurance, permits and fees necessary to accomplish the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning services herein specified. This applies to all commercial buildings and/or residences either leased or owned by the City of Wichita, its various Departments, Boards and Agencies orthe City of Wichita HousingDepartment.Group 1 will be considered Residential/Light Commercial. Equipmentcovered in Group 1 by this contract range in size from 1-29 ton split/package systems, direct expansion (split and package) HVAC systems. Group 2 will be considered Heavy Commercial/Industrial. Equipment covered in Group 2 by this contract range from 30 to 600 ton centrifugal, screw and turbo core chillers systems,and boilersincluding but notlimited tocooling towers, condenser and evaporator coils and all associated pump,valves and piping associated with large commercial and industrial buildings.Contractors may submit a proposal on Group 1 or Group 2 or both Groups. The City will select the Contractor(s)that best meets the specifiedrequirements for each Group.Contractor will be required to provide references on similar type projects and to provide the information todemonstrate the qualification, competence and capacity on the Groups you are submitting a proposal for this contract.Services shall also include Public Works & Utilities Environmental Health Division. The contractor shall be able to provide for the removal of ozone-depleting and substitute refrigerants from appliances received at Brooks Landfill (4100 N. West St.). The estimated volumeis 80 appliances, 4 times per year (approximately 320 appliances per year). This is an estimated amount only and does not guarantee or limit in any way the quantities under this contract. The contractor must be able to document the removal is compliant with federal regulations found under 40 CFR Part 82 by providing a sticker/tag for each appliance at the time of service, and documenting activities in a spreadsheet to be provided with the invoice. The spreadsheet shall include, at a minimum: the date of recovery, the type and quantity of refrigerant recovered, and the name/identification number of the section 608 certified technician performing the recovery for each appliance.
