Specifications

Summary of Specifications:An outside contractor removes grease and/or scum from six locations at the WWTP on the third Thursday of each month. Found in all wastewater flows, grease and/or scum typically float on the surface of the water and are skimmed off into collection points. The grease and/or scum are removed to prevent pipes from clogging and from hindering other treatment processes. The grease and/or scum are collected by a vacuum truck, removed from the plant site and disposed of in accordance with Federal, State and Local regulations. The method of disposal selected by the Contractor must be approved by City.
