Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Review Austin Energys current ergonomic program and make recommendations for enhancements and improvements to the program. i. Provide a written assessment of the current program, and a thorough description of recommendations based on findings. Recommendations may be, but are not limited to, applicability and relevance to Austin Energys employees, benefits, implementation details, costs, or case studies to illustrate potential results. ii. Identify which positions include high-risk job tasks, and which will require more aggressive management. Exhibit A contains a list of job titles that the Consultant shall assess for risk factors. iii. Assess positions which require unique job tasks for risk. Non-office positions require work to be performed in environments such as power plants or at substations. These employees may work indoors, outdoors, or both. iv. Provide recommendations for marketing and communication of ergonomic services to employees. B. Perform one-on-one ergonomic assessments (Assessments) for any Austin Energy employee upon request, and follow-up evaluations (Evaluations) as needed; i. This program will be available to approximately 2,000 Austin Energy employees. ii. A list of 23 locations where Assessments and Evaluations will take place is attached as Exhibit B. Some locations have fewer than ten employees. Austin Energy reserves the right to edit this list during the term of this contract. iii. Perform assessments during normal Austin Energy work hours. Normal work hours are considered between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. A small percentage of employees work shifts outside of this range. iv. The Assessments and Evaluations are not expected to involve workers compensation cases.
