Specifications include, but are not limited to:1. Email Security: is a technique for keeping sensitive information in email communicationand accounts secure against unauthorized access, loss, or compromise. This categorywill cover the requirements for the protection from the spread of malware, spam, andphishing attacks, using deceptive messages to entice recipients to divulge sensitiveinformation, or open attachments or click on hyperlinks that install malware on thevictims device for the platform that the County is seeking to meet its needs.a. The platform shall utilize defense strategies to protect inbound and outboundemail security.b. The platform must provide email protection from phishing, spam, and viruses.c. The platform must utilize both an anti-virus and behavioral based zero-hour virusdetection to protect against all types of malware to include both known andemerging threats.d. The platform must utilize machine-learning algorithms to ensure deep contentanalysis for accurate threat classification of phishing, spam, virus, and otherthreats.e. The platform must detect multi-lingual spam and phishing for maximumprotection against email threats in any language and character set.f. The platform must be able to accurately detect text, image and attachmentbasedspam, phishing and viruses.g. The platform must use techniques for malware analysis to evaluate advancedthreats that are traditionally missed by signature based and reputation basedsolutions.h. The platform must be able to check suspicious behavior through code analysis,machine-learning heuristics, and sandboxing to predictively determine maliciousintent and take preemptive steps before the user opens the email and/or file.i. The platform must isolate malicious phish messages from nuisance spam toprevent County employees from mistakenly compromising the security of theCounty.j. The platform must provide advanced protection against malicious attachments bysupporting most common used file formats (Example: Word, Excel, PDF (AdobePortable Document Format), etc...).k. The platform must provide a comprehensive solution for combating targetedthreats by monitoring messages containing malicious Uniform Resource Locator(URLs) or malicious attachments even inside SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)encrypted sessions.l. The platform must include Domain Keys Identified Mail (DKIM) signing ofoutbound email, which stops both traditional and spear phishing attacksm. The platform must provide Bounce Management based on Bounce Address TagValidation (BATV) to protect email systems from backscatter spam caused byphishing attacks.n. The platform must provide email security solution with a Splunk certified TA forlog ingestion.
