These may include: One-page overview ofthe DVPsResilienceDistrict proposal for 3 audiences (residents, businesses, and agencies); Project identification graphics and color themes; PowerPoint slide deck;Project process graphics such asproject workflow elements (timeline, decision-making processes, inclusive community engagement),and organizational structures; andTemplates for inclusive community engagement materials.Product for Tasks 1.1 and 1.2:Provide the City with a brief document outlining project plan(s), goals, and criteria including:Confirm list of project deliverablesOutline a schedule for producing deliverablesDesign plan, imagery criteria,and content outlines based on the communication objectives provided by DVPProvide recommendations for appropriate local translatorsProvide recommendations for appropriate local interpretersProvide recommendations for appropriate local printersEstimate printing costsTask 1.3: GraphicCommunication Support for Duwamish Valley ProgramCommunity EngagementsEventsObjective:Producean effectiveset of communication materialsthat facilitate inclusive community engagement.Upon completion of Tasks 1.1and 1.2, the DVP willidentify which projects to advance, andissue a notice to proceed forthe selectedprojectsunder this task. Procedure for starting a new graphic design project are as follows:1.For each type and phase of communication (see Phase II below) and community engagement, DVP will work withthe Consultantto scope the needs and objectives for graphic materials.2.In response, the Consultantwillsubmit to DVP an estimated cost and general timeline for the work.3.After DVPs negotiation and approval ofthe Consultantcost proposal, DVP issue a notice to proceed, that authorizesthe Consultantto begin work on the project.Productsfor Task 1.3:Upon receiving directionfrom the DVP, theConsultantwill provide the City with a brief document outlining project plan(s), goals, and criteriaanddesign templates thatsupportthe selectedgraphic designprojects. DVP staff or other DVP consultants will generally lead the development of purpose, outcomes,andcontentfor these projects,which couldinclude:Project brochure that communicates project objectives, process, timeline,and outcomes to community, agency,and funder audiences.Multi-lingual communications materials includingtemplates forworkshop handouts.Two PowerPoint presentationstemplatesprojectbriefings andstatus reports.Support materials development forquarterly convenings ofcommunity stakeholders (i.e.,residential, small businesses, industrial stakeholders andpublic agency, philanthropy, and other partners).Materials for yearly meetings with City, Port, County, philanthropy leadership through Town Halls, roundtables, and/or site visits and neighborhood walks.Materialsfor1-2 yearly community-wide events/celebrations to gather broad community direction and foster accountability.Materialsfor4-8/year culturally appropriate, in-language community meetings with limited English-speaking communities (e.g., Spanish, Vietnamese, Somali, andCambodian) to share the work on organizational development, sustainable funding sources, scenarioplanning, and the Duwamish Waterway Park expansionproject.
