Specifications include, but are not limited to: prepare a real estate development actionplan for a two mile stretch of East Wooster Street, betweenInterstate 75 and downtown Bowling Green. The RFQ allows realestate advisors to formally express their interest in working with theCity and University to prepare a plan for developing sites within thiscorridor. The City and University are looking to improve this crucialcorridor that provides the first impression of the City and Universityof visitors from Interstate 75, in addition to strengthening theconnection between the University, adjacent neighborhoods anddowntown Bowling Green. The goal is for redevelopment oftargeted areas to serve as catalysts for a larger multi-blockrevitalization project in the adjoining blocks and neighborhoods(currently being addressed through another consulting effort). TheUniversity is looking at this project to help attract students, facultyand administrators by creating a vibrant corridor to the Universityand downtown that offers diverse retail, dining, entertainment,residential options, and other desirable amenities. In addition to theabove, the City is looking to retain and attract new residents andemployers, and create a unique identity for the community.
