Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractors shall provide on an "on call, as needed" basis, including labor, materials, tools, equipment,supplies, services, tasks, transportation, and all incidental and customary work. Contractor will provide awritten estimate of repairs, etc. prior to services rendered. All customary work shall include but not be limitedto refrigeration services including maintenance, repair, modifications and improvements at the Texas Centerfor Infectious Disease facility.11.2. When so requested, the Contractor shall provide service within twenty-four (24) hours, unless notified that anemergency exists which requires immediate attention to keep the facility in operation. In the event of anemergency, service shall be provided within two (2) hours. The following are examples of services andequipment to be serviced that may be required under the contract: troubleshooting to identify and repairmalfunctions or issues affecting the performance of overload relays, variable frequency drives, motors,sensors, and any other equipment parts. Services could also include the installation of new or the upgradingof existing refrigerating units needed daily for facility operations for the Texas Center for Infectious.11.3. The Contractor shall provide non-emergency and emergency type service to keep all refrigeration equipment inoperation. If non-emergency service is not provided within twenty-four (24) hours after direct verbal or telephonicnotification from the maintenance supervisor, or if emergency service is not provided within two (2) hours afterdirect verbal or telephone notification from the Texas Center for Infectious Disease, the Texas Center forInfectious Disease has the right to secure the same service from another source and the Contractor shall pay toTexas Center for Infectious Disease all expenses incurred over the unit prices bid. A major hospital emergencyshall be defined by the maintenance supervisor shall constitute e an emergency service request.
