Specifications include, but are not limited to: The proposed fan system in each of the four mechanical fan rooms will be to provide a single builtup variable volume air handling unit potentially consisting of (1) a return air sound attenuator, (2)a return air fan array with a variable frequency drive, (3) heat transfer devices between theoutdoor and exhaust air streams, (4) an air side economizer mixing chamber, (5) a MERV 8 prefilter, (6) a MERV 15 secondary filter, (7) a bi-polar ionization system, (8) a hot water preheat coilwith an in-line circulator, (9) a humidifier, (10) a chilled water cooling coil, (11) a supply fan arraywith a variable frequency drive and (12) a supply air sound attenuator. The capacities of thesefan systems will be increased to meet the air conditioning, heating and ventilating needs of thebuilding.Two new return air duct risers (with the associated demolition and slab cuts and new shaft walls)will be provided through the 14 floors of the building to meet system air flow requirements. Newhot water supply and return pipe risers will be provided in the two main chases to accommodatefuture hot water heating to each of the floors in the building.
