Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to: I. Pick up waste bins during Agencys business hours as follows:a. Two pickups per week-Tuesday and Friday between 1 PM and 4 PM EST.b . Notify the Agency immediately if the pick-up will be late.c. In the event the Contractor is unable to pick up at the time specified by the Agency, theContractor will arrange to have thebiomedical waste transported and disposed of within 24 hours of the rescheduled pick up.d. Notify the Agency within 4 hours of the scheduled pickup if the Contractor will not be providing service for that day. Work with theAgency to schedule a new pick-up time.e. Provide emergency pick-ups as requested by the Agency. Emergencies can include after business hours (8am to 4pm), onweekends, or holidays. Emergency pick-ups must be invoiced at the same unit cost referenced in the Contractors Price Page.II. Ensure each emergency pickup meets the following requirements:a. Performed within 24 hours of notification from the Agency.b. Provide additional bins upon request at no additional cost to the Agency.c. Must be able to commingle all biomedical waste into the bins. Waste may include pathological, culture stocks and other biomedicalwastes. Incinerated waste to be separated from autoclave waste.d. Treat biomedical waste by steam, incineration, or an alternative process approved by the Agency as described in FloridaAdministrative Code, Rule 64E-16.007 (4).e. Approximate quantity of biomedical waste generated is 300 bins per month.III. Provide biomedical waste disposal services to the Agency:a. Provide approximately 140 96-gallon bins and pick them up twice weekly. Bins must have locking wheels and lids and capable ofholding 80 pounds or more of biohazard waste. Provide additional 96-gallon bins upon request.b. Bins will be brought to a specific location at Tacachale by our employees for vendor pickup.
