Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.3.1 The Contractor shall provide picture identification of all guards and driversat each location for verification. Each guard and driver shall also haveidentification cards or badges available. The guard must show properidentification to a previously designated COTA employee at each locationbefore the moneybags can be released.3.3.2 The Contractor shall ensure that all of its vehicles are clearly marked asbelonging to the Contractor, and the vehicles are provided with a securitybarrier to provide physical separation and security of COTA currency andmaterials.3.3.3 The Contractor shall allow COTA to inspect its premises and vehicles todetermine the adequacy of security.3.3.4 The Contractor shall maintain the security of all currency and materials tothe satisfaction of the COTA Revenue Collection Manager. The security ofcurrency and materials while in the Contractor's possession during storageor in transit shall be under either mechanical alarm or security guards.3.3.5 At the time a deposit is received, the Contractor's employee will sign areceipt which will state the total amount of the deposit, and the number ofcurrency bags contained in the shipment.3.3.6 The Contractor shall pick up bank bags from the assigned locations and signa log sheet verifying quantity and receivership.3.3.7 The Contractor shall be responsible for all monies and negotiableinstruments carried in the process of providing the service as describedherein from the point at which its employees sign a receipt for the materialuntil proper delivery is made to the recipient designated herein.3.3.8 In the event of loss of the entire deposit, the amount shown on the receiptsigned by the Contractor's employee shall be deemed the exact amount ofthe loss, provided said amount is verified by the books and records ofCOTA.In the event of a partial loss of a deposit, the Contractor shall accept COTA'saccounting of the amount of the loss, which shall be determined in goodfaith. 3.3.9. The Contractor shall ensure the safe dial is re-set after each pick-up.
