Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Geogia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (hereinafter, the State Entity) is soliciting statements of qualifications from suppliers interested in providing Adaptive Driving Equipment and Vehicle Modification. This electronic Request for Qualified Contractors (eRFQC) is intended to identify one or more responsible suppliers who meet or exceed the identified requirements contained herein. This eRFQC will not result in contract award. Instead, this eRFQC will establish a list of one or more qualified suppliers who will be eligible to participate to win future contracts from the State Entity.GVRA supports VR clients who need transportation to go to work but do not have access to public transportation by funding the adaptations of their vehicles. VR has supported an average of 40 to 50 vehicle modifications a year. The adaptations range from $150 for a spinner knob to over $100,000 for a complete high tech driving system and structural modifications to the vehicle. The average cost of each of the vehicle modifications is in access of $40,000. Vehicle modifications required specialized skills and tools and need to be outsourced to qualified contractors.
