Specifications include, but are not limited to:Cleaning of Exterior Glass Surfaces The work area must be clearly identified and controlled with effective signage and barrier tape to restrict accessto authorized workers only. Glass washing shall be done with clean water and necessary equipment to remove all dirt, grease or stains, andshall be left dry. The use of mild soap, ammonia or other cleaning agents previously approved shall be allowed in solution withwater, but only such materials will be allowed that are not injurious to painted, varnished or building surfaces. Clean all surfaces using a cleaning brush and squeegee to obtain a uniformly bright surface free of drips,streaks and foreign material All gum, paint and adhered soil that are not water-soluble must be removed by use of an appropriate cleaningagent. Any adhered "hydrophobic" type solid that cannot be scraped off should be removed with the use of anappropriate cleaning agent. Cleaning shall include the metal and aluminum frames, both interior and exterior. Glass is clean when all window surfaces are without streaks, film deposits and stain and have a uniform brightappearance. Windows shall be cleaned in such a manner as to cause minimal amount of inconvenience and / or disturbance tobuilding patrons. No cleaning solutions shall be used that creates such an odor as to be offensive to patrons using the facility. All waste water will be disposed of within strict EPA guidelines set forth by UTMB and the FederalGovernment. (Ref. ATTACHMENT A CONSTRUCTION SITE PROCEDURES FOR CONTRACTORS) Contractor shall provide all material safety data sheets (MSDS) required in connection with this bid (at time ofaward) if applicable per the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 [29 U.S.C. 651 et seq.].4.5.2 Pressure Washing Exterior Surfaces Pressure/Power wash exterior sides, walls, pillars and pipes with pressure washer wand. Furnish and maintain any and all warning devices (i.e. barricades, cones, signs, lights, etc.) required toadequately protect the public, UTMB staff, and other workers during the performance of the work. Use equipment with a noise retardant system that limits noise exposure
