Specifications include, but are not limited to:The City of Goodyear (City) is looking for a well-qualified hydrogeology/engineering consulting team to identify and evaluate sites for new production wells within the Citys Central and Southern Planning Areas in the West Salt River Sub-Basin and Rainbow Valley Sub-Basin, respectively (see Attachment B). The Citys capital improvement plan (CIP) identifies the need for as many as eleven wells which includes new wells and some re-drills/re-locations of existing wells. The City currently operates 10 wells within its service area and has a bulk water agreement for two wells within the Adaman Service Area. The successful consulting team will review and evaluate sites for groundwater availability, groundwater quality, well impacts to adjacent wells (ADWR Well Spacing and Well Impacts), connectivity to the water distribution and storage system, potential treatment, and adequacy of site space. Analyses should consider not only new well sites but the acquisition of existing wells with historical withdrawal authority which could be considered replacement wells by the Arizona Department of Water Resources. There are two U.S. EPA Superfund sites and an Arizona State WQARF site within the City that will need to be considered regarding limitations to physically availability, water quality, and potential impacts. Additionally, seeking State exemptions for relocating replacement wells beyond the 660 feet from their current location due to Superfund and WQARF shall need to be considered. Upon award, the City will provide available historical and current hydrogeological information as well as any other relevant data including City of Goodyear well completion reports and water quality reports to the selected consulting team. Scope of Work The selected consulting team will provide technical services to the City to include (but is not limited to) the following tasks: 1. Assess groundwater availability/aquifer conditions: aquifer thickness, transmissivity, depth to water, depth to bedrock, and natural recharge. 2. Assess groundwater quality: proximity to point source groundwater contamination plumes, arsenic concentration, nitrate concentration, fluoride concentration, hexavalent chromium concentration, and total dissolved solids concentration
