Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to:It shall be necessary to shut down existing well #14 to allow for the connection of the new watermain to the existing water main. One shut down for a maximum of six hours shall be allowedunless otherwise approved by the City. Contractor shall schedule shutdown with the City aminimum of 72 hours in advance. Contractor shall install water main, water service lines andany other possible fittings prior to well shutdown to minimize shutdown time. All disinfectionand testing shall be completed and approved by the City prior to restarting well 14. Wellshutdown and restart may only be performed by City staff.
