Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Department of Watershed Management is seeking a vendor to provide salt, ferric chloride, and liquidferric sulfate in bulk quantity to be used for the production of sodium hypochlorite.A. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:1. Salt, BulkThe product must comply with AWWA Standards with the following addition: The delivery trailermust be dedicated to salt only. The content analysis of the product should meet the followingminimum requirements:NACL Dry Weight basis 99.4% Wet weight 96.4% minimumCalcium Sulfate .10% maximumMagnesium Chloride .06% maximumCalcium Chloride .08% maximumMagnesium Sulfate .02% maximumInsoluble .10% maximumMoisture (as H2O) 3.0% maximumLead .0007% maximumCopper .0003% maximumIron .002% maximum2. Ferric Chloride, BulkDelivery shall be in approximately 3,500-4000 gallon tank trucks and be accompanied by a CertifiedLab Analysis meeting the minimum specification of 30 percent to 45 percent iron available byweight, specific gravity 1.2 to 1.5, with not less than 95 percent of total iron content to be in theferric state.
