Specifications include, but are not limited to:This Invitation for Bids (IFB) is soliciting bids for Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP)Telephone Equipment and Installation Services.2.0 BACKGROUNDThe Baltimore City Public Schools (City Schools) serves the needs of public education inBaltimore City, covering approximately 77 square miles, with a residential population ofmore than 646,000. It is the fourth largest public school system in the State of Maryland.City Schools operates 190 facilities over a ten-mile radius, which includes Pre-k,elementary, middle, and high schools as well as special education centers and alternativeschools. The Central administration headquarters is located at 200 East North Avenue,Baltimore, Maryland.City Schools is governed by a city-state partnership. The Baltimore City Board of SchoolCommissioners (Board) has 10 members (including a student member). The Board isjointly appointed by the Mayor of Baltimore and Governor of the State of Maryland; andsets and oversees policy and implementation of regulations for the school system, andapproves all major appointments. The City Schools Chief Executive Officer reports to theBoard.City Schools currently has approximately 84,748 students, 10,800 employees and anannual operating budget of $1.3 billion.3.0 SCOPE OF SERVICESThe general scope of work shall consist of the following high level objectives:1. Vendor is to provide equipment and installation services to refresh all existing analogphones in the district of 190 schools (178 buildings). See Section 3.1.2. Equipment provided by vendor will have to meet City Schools VOIP Specifications.See Section 3.2.3. Vendor will store equipment until time of installation.4. Vendor is responsible for transportation of equipment to every school.5. Vendor will work within maintenance window timeframes provided by City Schools6. Vendor will uninstall existing phones, remove from School building and dispose.7. Vendor will complete surveys to identify individuals to receive phones designated byprincipal
