Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Administrative Office of the Rhode Island State Courts (AOSC) is seeking proposals from qualified individuals or entities to record the proceedings of a Superior Court criminal trial set to begin on January 11, 2016 at the Licht Judicial Complex in Providence, Rhode Island. Vendor may be asked to produce a DVD or comparable video file of the days proceedings or a portion thereof and should be able to produce such DVD or comparable video file within twenty-four (24) hours upon request. 2.0 Scope of Work Background Rhode Island General Laws 8-5-8.3 provides: At the request of any party to the proceeding or the hearing or on the appointing authority's initiative, the appointing authority may order that the testimony of the person who is deaf, hard of hearing, and deaf-blind and the interpretation/transliteration of the proceeding by the qualified interpreter/transliterator be visually recorded for use in verification of the official transcript of the proceeding or hearing. In any judicial proceeding involving a capital offense, the appointing authority may order that the testimony of the person who is deaf, hard of hearing, and deaf-blind and the interpretation/transliteration of the proceeding or the hearing by the qualified interpreter/transliterator be visually recorded for use in verification of the official transcript of the proceeding or the hearing. Scope of Work The AOSC seeks videography services for a Superior Court trial that is set to begin on January 11, 2016 and which may last for up to six (6) weeks. Vendor may be expected to produce a recording at the end of each day of trial upon request and shall maintain a composite recording of the entire trial to be delivered within ten (10) business days of the trials conclusion. The trial will take place in a Superior Court courtroom in the Licht Judicial Complex. The trial involves multiple teams of America Sign Language and Certified Deaf Interpreters and the video must capture the interpretation of the proceedings. It is expected that the trial would run from 9:30am to 4:30pm with a lunch break and other recesses throughout the day. The proposal should address the following: Vendor must provide and set up recording equipment in the courtroom each day and must supply personnel to record the trial proceedings.
