Specifications include, but are not limited to:The software shall be a full browser based Video Management System (VMS). The VMS software shall be a platform-independent, IT server-based solution purpose-built for the management of unlimited amounts of digital video and supporting alarm and other surveillance data.VMS software shall be hosted on machines running Windows 7 to current Windows operating system or commercial servers with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 or 2012 Server operating system. The software must be fully compliant with virtual server environments. The VMS shall not require proprietary hardware and must functions with off-the-shelf computer workstations and servers (IA32 and/or IA64 specifically), networking, cameras, and storage equipment.The VMS software shall support all-IP camera environments as well as analog cameras, cabling and other security and IT infrastructure where appropriate.VMS software must be capable of viewing and recording from a minimum of 4,000 IP and/or analog cameras.A suite of optional intelligent analytic applications for the automated detection, tracking and classification of potentially suspicious actions or events captured in live video must be available.The VMS must integrate with third-party systems - Door access control - Video analytics (license-plate detection, facial recognition, and video motion detection) - Support I/O functionsThe VMS shall support virtually all leading IP and analog camera encoder manufacturers for user choice and design flexibility, including IP Cameras by AXIS, Infinova, March Networks, Arecont, Bosch, IQinVision, Mobotix, Panasonic, Samsung, Sony, and other ONVIF compliant devices.The VMS shall offer a full featured web-client software applications intended for:Live video monitoringArchive video investigationsSystem managementSystem healthSystem diagnostics, status and statisticsSystem mass managementSystem firmware managementInstantaneous retrieval of archived videoEvidence exportation and production
