Specifications include, but are not limited to:The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) is requesting proposals for a tree inventory management system. This application and database will allow UTD to review tree information, manage costs and personnel, and prioritize maintenance, in order to optimize the growth and long-term health of trees on campus. The initial inventory request will be for approximately 7,000 trees and should allow for the addition of new trees. This application and database will also support the Universitys application for Tree Campus USA designation. Scope of Services I. Mandatory Requirements: A.All vendor staff collecting and reviewing data must be International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborists. B.The vendor will provide a detailed procedure of work to be done. This includes: 1. Vendors operational task list2.Staffing, timetable, selectable options, delivery methodologies, training, system installation and configuration, and UTD responsibilities 3.Required database/application server specifications and desktop specifications, and provide a contact for additional questions on technical requirements 4.Detail of definitions, information, and data collection methods used to conduct the inventory C. Initial survey charges will be on a per tree basis, regardless of size. This includes transportation and lodging, parking, and fees of any other kind associated with the initial tree survey. D. UTD will provide an annotated map of the areas to be inventoried. The survey will clearly identify trees by the following: 1. GPS coordinates (specify accuracy) 2. Tree name: Common name, genus and species, plus variety if applicable 3. Tree size: Diameter to the nearest inch at 4.5 feet above ground or diameter-breast- height (DBH), height, and canopy diameter 4. Digital photograph of each individual tree linked to the tree data. This shall include both the full tree and any special conditions i.e. disease, structural problems, etc. (specify resolution
