Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Contractor shall perform administrative functions in relation to scheduling and arranging transportation to and from home, child care, work and other program activities as requested by CDSS for approximately 200 customers so as to maintain customers in employment or other assigned employment activities. The contractor shall meet transitional transportation needs and address barriers to transportation, enabling customers to develop independent transportation. Functions shall include: A. Coordinate transportation needs of each customer with the transportation company (ies) and determine the most appropriate and economical mode of transportation. 1. Communicate by telephone call with the referring Case Manager from CDSS no later than the next Social Service work day on all no shows and last minute cancellations. If no shows/last minute cancellations are not reported the next business day or before the next scheduled trip whichever occurs first. CDSS will not be charged for the no show/last minute cancellations. 2. Communicate with by telephone call with the referring Case Manager from CDSS concerning customer issues and how to resolve them. If the customer issue cannot be resolved between the customer and the transportation provider, the referring Case Manager from CDSS must be contacted immediately to assist with efforts at resolution. 3. Provide CDSS an estimated cost per trip for new customers or changes in previously arranged trips (origin, destination, frequency, etc.). The estimated cost must be provided within two (2) business days of receipt of the referral from CDSS. Approval from CDSS must be received prior to actually arranging the trip. 4. Describe how the contractor will address customer issues and work with CDSS to resolve the following: a. Customers who become disruptive to driver and/or other passengers. b. Customers who are suspected of or observed being abusive or neglectful to child/children. c. Customers who are arguing/fighting with one another. d. Customers who are consistently late or are no shows for pick up at home, child care site, job or other destination
