More information about MARC can be found at MARC is partnering with members of the Regional Transit Coordinating Council (RTCC) Technical Team to release this Request for Information (RFI). The RTCC is an advisory body to MARC, Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) and local jurisdictions which convenes on a bi-monthly basis to address regional transit planning, coordination and implementation of transit priorities. In preparation of a subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP), the project management staff and the RTCC is seeking assistance in tailoring the RFP to fit the specific needs of the project. This request for information specifically regards the effort in the RTCC work plan to create Transit Oriented Development (TOD) guidelines and a corresponding toolkit for use by local governments and other agencies. The component of this effort for which MARC needs consultant assistance is an Economic Impact Study of Transit Oriented-Development in the region. There are currently three corridors being serviced by enhanced transit in the Kansas City region: the MAX bus service on Main Street and Troost Ave., and the downtown Streetcar. MARC is interested in learning more about the precise economic impact/benefits of those public investments, and applying those lessons learned in such a way that could forecast impacts on other corridors within the region
