Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to: All work under this contract shall be performed under the supervision of theManager of the Orange County Development Engineering Division or designee,4200 South John Young Parkway, Orlando, Florida, 32839-9205.2. All work performed, unless authorized by the County Representative, will takeplace between the hours of 7:00AM and 5:00PM, Monday through Friday. Nowork will be performed on weekends or Federal, State, and County holidays,unless prior authorization is obtained by the Countys Representative.3. The Contractor shall coordinate all inspections with the Countys Representativeand shall verify that all work scheduled to be inspected is complete. TheContractor shall be responsible for the solution of any problems or discrepanciesthat may arise during the inspection process.4. The Contractor shall institute a quality control plan for this contract, which shallbe made available to the County for approval. The Contractor shall beresponsible for and shall verify all quality control actions to the CountysRepresentative as directed.5. Maintenance of Traffic (M.O.T.) shall conform to F.D.O.T.s most currenteditions of the Roadway and Traffic Design Standards for Design, Construction,and Maintenance Systems and the Federal Highway Administration (F.H.W.A.)Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (M.U.T.C.D.) for Streets andHighways. These documents can be ordered from F.D.O.T., Maps, andPublications Department, 605 Suwannee Street, Tallahassee, Florida, 32399-0450, Phone (904) 488-9220. A proposed traffic control plan will be submitted tothe Countys Representative for approval prior to start of work. If the Contractordoes not comply with F.H.W.A.s M.U.T.C.D. (i.e. signs, qualified flaggers and/orbarricades) the County reserves the right to direct the Contractor to ceaseoperations until deficiencies are corrected. In addition, no road closures will beallowed except in case of emergencies
