Specifications

Specifications include, but are not limited to:The project consists of two elements (combined, theContract work, or work). The first element (the Maintenance Work) is generalmaintenance for all existing TRAFFIC Signal equipment, including lamps, ballasts and PECrepairs and replacements. It includes visually inspecting and making necessary repairs to eachpole, appurtenances and equipment, the connection between the service point and signalequipment and electrical and communication (fiber) connections. The bolted connectionsbetween foundation and pole and between pole and fixture must be examined for corrosion.Additionally, 25 percent of all TRAFFIC Signals safety lighting will be re-lamped each year.The second element is Extra Work (the Extra Work), which may arise as a result of the needfor emergency work to repair or replace damaged equipment and new TRAFFIC Signalinstallations. It is expected the successful bidder will provide continuous and emergencyservice 24 hours a day, 365 (or 366) days a year. The Contractor must obtain a Right-of-WayPermit from the City, at no cost, before work begins
