PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Traffic Signal Emergency Back-up System Installation, CIP 331604 and 331505. The work to be performed shall include, but not be limited to: Replacement of existing Edison electrical services with new battery system equipment, underground conduits, and electrical pull boxes and service meters and all appurtenant items thereto; and other items not mentioned here, but are required by the Special Provisions. The Engineer's construction cost estimate for the project is above $151,000. CONTRACTORS STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Class C-10. At the time of submitting the bid, the Bidder shall be licensed as a contractor in accordance with the provisions of California Business and Professions Code Chapter 9, Division 3. Persons performing the work of an electrician shall be certified in accordance with California Labor Code Section 3099. Proof of Certification shall be provided to the City prior to commencement of work. PROJECT LOCATION AND SCHEDULE: The work to be performed hereunder is located in the City of Irvine, County of Orange, at various locations, as specified in the contract documents, 120 working days to complete. No additional specifications were given.
