Specifications include, but are not limited to: Project Goals. At DSB, our information systems help us achieve our vision by tying us closer to our customers, partners, and funding stakeholders. The systems will be fully accessible to people who are blind and visually impaired. The system will be intuitive to use for all users. Aligning with the Governors goal for an efficient, effective and accountable government, the systems will help our counselors efficiently serve more clients. We will get better outcomes by capturing information more efficiently, and by reporting that information back in a way that enables DSB program staff to direct their time where it will do the most good. Our fiscal administrative staff will be able to support our programs more effectively through more efficient and complete fiscal services directly accessible by program staff. The system will be more reliable, responsive, and secure. The system will be flexible enough to change as we need change and provide information as we need it. It will be secure and well supported by a vendor that is committed to the needs of the VR and blind services community. We will benefit from the ideas and innovation of similar agencies nationwide, and they will benefit from ours. The system will support the specific business processes and provide the required outcomes data for federal and state funding sources. This system will also support improved access to data for the agencys key stakeholders.Project Objectives: At the end of the Case Management System Replacement Project we will have:Improved the ability of VR staff and service providers to support counselor projected VR workloads at an effective level by: More efficient collection of program information through a better designed, more consistent system and easier to use processes System processes that mirror the workflow of the agency staff Reduce rework of input errors caused by non-intuitive, inconsistent, or unclear data collection screens More flexible ad hoc reporting that identifies trends or opportunities to improve customer services, supports management requirements (using data to improve performance), and outcome measures being initiated by the federal government.
