Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supplies, transportation to and from the Agency, and incidentals necessary to test and inspect the sprinkler systems and fire alarm systems in accordance with requirements of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) including Standard 25 Standard for the Inspection., Testing, and Maintenance of Water Based Fire Protection Systems and the Virginia Fire Marshals office and other NFPA Standards. Contractor shall also clean all smoke and duct devices and sprinkler heads found dirty or loaded at least annually. Visual inspection of all sprinkler heads in cells and pods annually.All lead personnel assigned by the Contractor shall have a minimum of three years experience; Personnel inspecting the fire alarm systems shall also be NICET certified.A minimum of three (3) people shall be required for each Agency visit to meet the schedule of the Safety Officers.The scope of this IFB does not include maintenance and repairs of any of the systems or their components. The Contractor must notify the Agency in writing of any required maintenance and/or repairs. Written quotes covering the repair of the deficiencies may also be requested by the Safety Officer(s). In accordance with procurement regulations, the Agency will issue a purchase order for such repairs and/or maintenance to the appropriate vendor which may or may not be the Contractor.The Contractor shall forward to the Safety Officer(s) a written report of findings after each quarterly visit no later than by the end of the week of the inspection. Contractor shall also furnish written reports to State fire officials and other interested parties as directed by the Agency such as testing and inspections.The Contractor shall have the Safety Officer sign a work order after each visit and a copy of the work order shall be submitted with each invoice showing the work on the invoice was done to the satisfaction of the Safety Officer.
