Specifications include, but are not limited to:elected agency(ies) shall provide the City, on request by the City, with qualified temporary staffing servicesfor the classification specifications (Attachment C) of this RFP. The City does not anticipate the need formore than four temporary staff at any given time. The duration of temporary staff assignments is usuallyfrom 6-12 weeks. The City does not normally use temporary staff for long-term assignments exceeding 3months. The agency will carefully pre-screen all temporary personnel prior to referral to the City to assurethat they possess all of the required skills and abilities to perform the assigned tasks. The temporarypersonnel provided shall meet the minimum qualifications, minimum education and experience required bythe classification specification for the job to be performed. The agency will be informed of the specificduties or class title, length of assignment, and any specific skills or abilities required. A copy of the relevantclassification specification for temporary staffing services requested shall be sent by the City to the agency atthe time of the request. The City shall conduct fingerprint-based background checks and employmentreference checks for selected temporary personnel within a reasonable time frame prior to start date ofassignment. Drug and alcohol screening will be required for some positions. All agencies shall adhere tofederal, state and privacy protection laws when conducting background checks and provide the requiredwaivers, authorizations, notices, disclosures and releases. All agencies shall strictly adhere to all state andfederal laws with respect to discrimination in employment and shall not discriminate against any individualon the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, age ordisability. The agency must conform to the provisions of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986by verifying the employment eligibility of each person referred to the City. If applicable, the agency mustalso conform to the provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) of 2010.
